My car had a race paddle clutch fitted when I bought it. And they're not something I would recommend for touring or driving in stop start traffic as they are very on or off .
-
When my AP clutch and plate started slipping not long (enough) after having it fitted, I went for the helix plate and cover and has been good so far, mainly chose helix on the findings and recommendations of this thread here

think its glued on some how, mine took a bit of removing with brute force (mole grips) then scraped / sanded the remaining glue off, the limiting factor on the length is underneath the diameter where the gaitor is it drops away at an angle. measure from there to the front of the grip, see what you've got

(reply to 5 )Will they fit a metric chassis S3 ?
I think they should fit all handbrakes but have only fitted to my 2001 imperial chassis, what i will say is if there are any issues I will sort them so your not left without
That goes for anyone who buys one

I'm on the look out for an S3 carbon nose cone, prefer unpainted genuine Caterham but will consider whatever is on offer ( damaged , painted, etc )
Cheers Mark

Have made a small batch of these while I was making one for myself, they are 30mm dia 120mm long , diagonal style weave, 2 different style anodised aluminium ends with 2x M5 grub screw fixing.
I have tried to simplify the fitting by machining out a bit of clearance for the weld that is found under the handle once the grip is removed. cost is £60 inc postage,
