AdamQ
Dave, following our conversation just now, I'm after the lifts at TDC for a 1999 1800 cc 140 Roadsport. The car is standard in all respects, I believe. Many thanks for your help. Adam
oilyhands
For the SS cams.. Inlet 70 thou Exhaust 50-55 thou If the idle is perfect and it doesn't hunt or stall then you could usefully increase both by 10thou. coversely if the idle is dingo's kidneys and it stalls then you should reduce both by ten thou. Peter Carmichael
Surely 70/55 is for supersport cams on throttle bodies not a plenum?
AdamQ
Thanks Oily. I'll report on the dingo's kidneys in due course. Adam
oilyhands
Peter, Quite a few SS's run very happily on 70/50-55 on a plenum. Other struggle a bit. If the ECU can tolerate it you will see a better torque curve. I generally run 80/60 on TBs and between 50/40 and 70/55 on a plenum. Oily
Delbert
Remeber though the 140 Roadsport does not run Supersport cams it is a slightly milder cam. (well apparently according to the ones who know)
oilyhands
I think that a roadsport of that vintage runs SS cams, later ones use the TF135 profile I believe. Oily
