Durawest
Couple of questions: - 1). Would you recommend (if possible) unbuckling a hub and inner rim? 2). How and with what would you clean up the black hubs free of white deposits? 3). Do the inner rims from a 8.5" have a re-sale value? Thanks Ian
Paul McKenzie
Ian, Regarding 2) the only way to do this is to get them grit blasted. After this MB chromate passivates them and paints them if required. With mine I blasted them then spray painted them directly.
Durawest
Cheers Paul, thats what I was considering. Presuming you sprayed in black, did you use matt or gloss finish. What looks best? Ian
Paul McKenzie
What I used for the centres was a titanium grey wheel paint with a few coats of clear laquer over the top, and I must admit they look pretty good together with a set of new bolt in titanium valves from Ebay Paul
