hannaman
Can anyone share some spring rate info for a 7 replica (live axle) that will be raced and occasionally driven on the street? Any recommended manufacturers of coilovers? thanks!
Stig
I'm racing a Locost and use 300lb on the front with 150's on the rear. Dampers are AVO Pro Race (12" front, 13" rear with 1.9" i.d.). Engine is 1300 X-flow, you may need to use different front springs depending on the weight of your power unit. http://www.pciuk.com/cj/
R2D2
150 lb/in seems a bit high on the rear. 95 lb/in gives better traction and is much easier on the road. I just changed mine from 120 to 95 to stop the back hopping

Stig
Except that it's carrying a ruddy great roll cage too! ;) http://www.pciuk.com/cj/
Stig
Ooops, hit post reply too soon. What I was going to say was that my Locost is for race use only so works well with a firmer set up. http://www.pciuk.com/cj/
gareth
Stig I race a 7 and use 360 lbs on the front and 200 on the rear, it depends on the car weight and your driving style etc etc
