Ken Y
My R400 is spontaneously jumping out of 3rd into neutral on a trailing throttle. It has done this intermittently for a while, but seems to be getting worse. Very disconcerting on track as you hit the gas through a corner only to find nothing happens! Any suggestions as to cause, and how much of a nightmare fixing it is likely to be? Ken Pug Graphite and Bare Carbon R400
Normans_Ghost
sound like excess end float on gearbox shaft. Almost certainly box strip job. Is it 5 or 6 speed and is it under warranty? Ken Y
Norm, Thanks. 6 speed, and under warranty I am very pleased to say. About 1200 miles only on the car. Best I get in touch with CC then! Cheers Ken Pug Graphite and Bare Carbon R400
Goochy
My R400 did exactly the same after I had some synchro work done on the box. Simon Lambert sorted it overnight without the box coming out, I think they adjusted the detent spring. It has never happened again, good luck.
