Harry Flatters
Saturday 18th September - SUBJECT TO MSA APPROVAL We are delighted to announce that the club has has now established a replacement venue for the famous Handling Day, previously held at Brooklands in Surrey. The new location is DUNSFOLD, situated just south of Guildford, also in Surrey. Many of you will know that Dunsfold is also the home of the BBC’s Top Gear programme. Dunsfold was built by the Canadian Air Force during WWII and up until 2001 was owned by BAE who built and flew the Harrier ‘Jump’ Jet there. Unlike Brooklands, however, the runway surface is in perfect condition The format of the Handling Day will be very similar to the old Brooklands day but with one or two interesting additions. Highlights of the day are: test your 0-60 acceleration slide your way around our slalom challenge course ‘free-style’ area EXCLUSIVE opportunity to drive the Top Gear track in your own Seven (small extra cost) (This feature is NOT available to the general public at any cost at any time!) There is a morning and afternoon session and the price is £35 per car per session. Watch out for the booking form in the July issue of Low Flying. There are 35 entries available for each session so don't delay your booking. Places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Mail me if you have questions or need any information. See you on the runway............. *thumbup* *arrowright*Harry Flatters *arrowright* AKA Steve Mell of Su77on Se7ens and Surrey Joint AO Edited by - Harry Flatters on 3 Nov 2005 09:43:
greg
Bloddy hell Harry. Very well done!! Is there a noise limit? Any chance of any more places as I am sure this is going to be very popular?
Harry Flatters
This is the first event of it's kind at Dunsfold so whilst there are no official noise limits in place, they will be monitoring any comments and feedback from nearby residents. *arrowright*Harry Flatters *arrowright* AKA Steve Mell of Su77on Se7ens and Surrey Joint AO Edited by - Harry Flatters on 3 Nov 2005 09:44:

Harry Flatters
Abosolutely not - MSA licence application would be in jeopardy if there was. *arrowright*Harry Flatters *arrowright* AKA Steve Mell of Su77on Se7ens and Surrey Joint AO Edited by - Harry Flatters on 3 Nov 2005 09:45:
