Slomove
Maybe a dumb question: if the crud is that persistent and would not leave the expansion tank anyway why remove at all? Is it a technical issue or rather an aesthetical one? My overflow tank is black and I guess I don't want to know what is going on inside Gert
Nifty
Gert, It was more of a heavy sludge (like Swarfega) and I fear that overtime it will progress its way into the engine water lines (it probably has - will flush engine out once put back into car). And if I add a different coolant to this "sludge" it may cause further sludge build up and eventually block the system!! Keep off the straight and narrow 😬
