Steveh7
I've got a leak from the radiator fan switch, I have tightened it up as much as I dare however I don't want to damage the the rad. Anyone know what the best course of action would be....how far can you torque up this nut? cheers in advance
Mr Locust
Change the sealing washer or put some PTFE tape around the thread? Ian Green and Silver Roadsport 😬

Terry Field
I had a very small leak on my rad and ran some Radweld through the system. It is still fine 5 years later, including several flush throughs. Try re seating first, but this may be a good back up Terry Q783 OOR. Team Lotus colours with flares. shn7
Stevo, One other possibility. Are you certain it's coming from the seal around the switch? I had the same problem but finally found that the problem was that the joint around the thread in the rad was split. I got my little blow torch out and ran some solder into it. No problems thereafter. Steve.
Steveh7
well on further inspection the rad was leaking slightly where the fan switch joins to the rad. Rad weld seems to of sorted it Glad I didn't keep tightening the nut!
Jason Plato
DO NOT USED RAD WELD TYPE PRODUCTS !!!!!!!!!! this style of product is designed to block up the coolant system .............. is this a good idea ???? *eek* *eek* *eek* Lotus 7 Club Speed Champion 2003 South Wales Area Organiser C7 TOP
Terry Field
Never had any problems with it -as long as you don't keep using it! Terry Q783 OOR. Team Lotus colours with flares.
