Ted_7 Posted June 3, 2003 Share Posted June 3, 2003 Since a few weeks, sometimes the engine sounds like a diesel engine. Most of the time after a quick run with cornering. It stops after a while if I drive on a straight line for a few minutes. It never did that before so what do I have to do to stop this noise ? The hydraulic tappets then causing the noise and pumping themselves back up after a bit of straight running?? Slarty Blat Fast Posted June 3, 2003 Share Posted June 3, 2003 Before people get into the benefits of Apollo tanks etc. make sure you are measuring the oil level correctly on the dipstick according to the instruction manual. If you're meant to check the level with the engine hot & running the dipstick will read full when you are still about a litre under.
