Anyone upgrade to the "race" rear brake caliper setup?

re:#23 - I could revert, but I was getting very uneven tire wear on ZZS. I did the ear swap when swapping to ZZR, figuring the wear would be even worse. The car felt fine on 1.5rear but i would be giving up something like 40% of potential tire life I feel.

re: #24- I don't think that standard radius arms would change anything, as the interference I am getting is with the forward link, which is essentially in the same position as the radius arm would be.

re: #25 - thanks for the info. I would just run without handbrake.

A thin spacer between the ear and deDion tube may be the best solution. I'm running 1.5 degree ears with my own custom 1.2 degree spacer that is 2mm thick at the bottom, giving me -2.7 degrees of rear camber. I have no caliper to Watts linkage contact with pad friction material worn down to about 2mm thick. The spacer can be fitted or removed without touching the axle, hub or bearing by just removing the 4 deDion end plate bolts, slipping the spacer in, then inserting the bolts again.

A piece of 3mm or 1/8" aluminium and some work with a 10.5mm drill for the 4 holes (the central large hole isn't really needed) and a bit of relief at the end near the hub can do the job. You can use the old 1.5 degree ears as a template to get the right hole positions. The existing bolts should be long enough, but confirm the driveshafts still contact the bearings inside the diff when the axle is fully articulated.
