malcolml
Could any of you gents tell me the name of the black glue/sealant they use to fix cycle wings to the stays and would this be any good for mounting a high level brake light onto my roll bar. Thank you.
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted July 9, 2021 Leadership Team Share Posted July 9, 2021 The usual sealant for the wing stays is Sikaflex 221 or Tigerseal. There's a number of different Sikaflex versions that will bond them equally as well though. No reason why the same shouldn't work on the high level brake light, I actual used number plate sticky pads to locate mine.Stu. Area Representative Geoff Brown Posted July 10, 2021 Area Representative Share Posted July 10, 2021 If you browse web sites such as Tool Station you will find several adhesive/sealants that will do the job. The product availability has expanded since the days when 'specialist' products such as Sikaflex & Tiger were the only alternative.Stixall & CT1 are just two available in black.
