Graham Hutton Posted March 26, 2021 Share Posted March 26, 2021 I wonder if anyone can help? I'm getting ready for my IVA on Tuesday and doing the last jobs. The Caterham IVA checklist says I need to put a nut cover on the alternator but I can't work out where....or indeed why! Mine is a 310r with a sigma engine and all the electrical connections have proper moulded connections.any advice would be appreciatedGraham Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Graham Hutton Posted March 26, 2021 Author Share Posted March 26, 2021 Thanks Nigel, that makes a lot of sense as the picture in the Caterham guide doesn't look much like my alternator!!I'll get back to gluing bolt head covers on my suspension then!!! Turns out that indeed the plastic cover goes on the end of the threaded terminal post ???This IVA requirement is to ensure that any small creature that you drive over is not harmed by the blunt end of the terminal pillar.
