The red paint on Mercedes cars is notorious for micro blistering and peeling, sadly a fact that I did not know when I bought the car. A few months back, I noticed some peeling over the rear wheel arch. Reported to Merc who carried out an inspection, found other issues and offered to carry out a full respray under goodwill warranty. Fair play to then as it was a 4 week, back to bare metal job! Moral of the story.. Don't buy an Opal red Merc, unless of course the issue has been addressed like in this case.
