Removing Immobilser from my 2002 R400

Hi all, I have the 'plug a fob into a hole in the dashboard' type immobilizer....I'd like to remove it...as I know its only a matter of time before it lets me down somewhere....

I'm reasonably handy with 'lectrics..so happy to dive in....prefer not to have to remove the scuttle if possible...

anyone have a guide as to how complex (or not) the exercise is ?
