KarlH
I went to start my car over the weekend and it wouldn't start, the battery has been on charge and whilst it seems fully charged it shows nothing when cranking so I ordered a new one.I've just fitted that (checked it was charged before swapping it over) and it still won't start. It turned over twice but wouldn't fire up then it just labours to turn anything over and just does nothing.Bloody annoying as I'm meant to be heading off to meet the family on half term holiday tomorrow! What can I check / do figure out why it won't start?Cheers,Karl. Bricol
Check all connections for cleanlines and tightness to the battery, starter and earths.Try a jump lead from engine to chassis or battery negative - if fires, or at least cranks easily - dodgy earth connection
KarlH
Ta. Just checked the connections on the back of the starter and it's fired up first turn.
