Trailer wheel tie down options

I've got a BJ trailer and use the normal wheel tie downs here (not great pic, but can just about see the front wheel tied, hadn't done the rear at this point).

I was wondering if anyone had used either the over the wheel type here and here or the through the wheel type here and here

I have used all of the combinations you have shown, And another clever thing called a load choker  ! It looks like a ( u ) shaped engineered piece  of steel it's simple to use and very tough. 

But I would use the over the top straps with your trailer. Don't use through the wheel straps unless you want marked rims.

I prefer the over the wheel type. You can use your existing straps if you buy a couple of extra hooks off e bay.

Thanks chaps, I liked the look of the over the wheel type, looks a little easier/quicker than the type I use (not that it takes a long time, but any saved time is a bonus).

Never thought about using mine and adding hooks, good shout, looks like they are called double j hooks, cant find any separately but I will keep looking
