Red Line Components
The car: 1963 series 2. Live axle Having refitted the axle and suspension is think I have a problem. I am using the springs previously fitted but new shock absorbers. The shockers are so extended as the axle hangs that the springs are completely un compressed and can be lifted up and down on the shock absorber. The axle rests on the horizontal chassis tube. This sounds very wrong... Perhaps the wrong shock absorbers? (Bought from Mike Brotherwood)
Ian Mackenzie
Yes, sounds wrong to me to.....would expect some compression in the springs to keep them seated.Hitting the chassis tube does not sound great either, I know the S3 chassis is close, but I'm sure the dedion is clear of contact from the chassis.CheersIan
