magister Posted October 2, 2015 Share Posted October 2, 2015 Have connected the BJ trailer to the new car (Octavia) via a 12 to 7 pin adaptor for the trip over to Anglesey tonight, but the 3 offside trailer lights are only working intermittently. When they are working, there are sparks from the breakaway cable connection on the car (which is on the plate the socket is on, on the car )The nearside lights work perfectly all the time which makes me think is isn't an earth problem.I have checked the plug on the trailer and it all seems fine.I have just connected the trailer to the Landrover, and the lights work fine.The electrics on the car were fitted by the dealer.Any ideas?
