Rusty Nuts Garage
I have a 270S (SV) on order and have a query on the floorpan, I'm just under 6' tall (but only 29" leg!). Will I be ok with the normal floorpan?
SM25T
Sounds like more of your height is in your torso. Have you sat in a car to check ?? Tilletts or leather seats ? If you didn't try before ordering (!?) .... find someone local so you can try it. There are plenty around you ! I am 5'10" with a 31" inside leg. SV with leather seats. Drove it for 7 years with standard floor. Then fitted lowered floor to driver side only. That 1.5" lower is much nicer .... for me. A bit more out of the airflow and away from line of rollbar. nickh7
go lowered floor if you can , its always better to be lower
SM25T
As long as you don't have a steeply sloping drive, or cushion type speed bumps in your street.

Rusty Nuts Garage
Thanks for that, there is a meet at Rhos on Sea next week, I'll see if anyone has the SV with the lowered floor,..... squeeze myself in! cheers Keith
martyn
Get the lowered floor. It sits you lower in the car, reduces centre of mass and increases resale value. Those are good reasons even if you don't need it. However, at your height I think the lowered floor will be preferable maybe even bordering on necessary. The negatives.. As others have said, it reduces ground clearance over bumps. Can also make it difficult if you have someone very short who wants to drive - usually requiring some padding on the seat for them to see properly. RedCat7
Sounds like you need them with your body shape. I am 6' with 34" leg. Glad I ordered my SV with lowered floors. I live on your side of Chester if you want a fitting trial? My car has leather seats.
alistairbfuller
Hello, I have lowered floors fitted and I now sit in the car rather than on it! However, the harness now uses all the adjustment on the lap belt and could do with being tighter. Does anyone know if you can get shorter harnesses?thanksAlistair
6speedmanual
Luke can make the lap strap tails shorter by the same amount as the floor is lowered. (1 1/2")
john aston
Do it - beyond question. I have lowered floor and have only twice grounded on a speedbump cushion - and that was the lightest kiss. It utterly transforms the driving experience - 5' 11" and 32" leg .
