James-Seven
i am about to change my scuttle so I can fit wipers and washers. How long do you think to fit wiper motor, washer bottle. I have been quoted between an hour and 6 hours labour!
simonpa
Haha - depends how slow you are!Scuttle takes about an hour to remove, if you haven't done it before and need to work out what to do. About 20 mins otherwise.Wipers (if you have all the bits) take about 30 mins, once the scuttle is off. Washer bottle - 30secs to fit, another 60secs to find and plug in the plug, then 15 mins to route the washer tube. Fitting the washer tube to the sparayer can be fiddly. Drop me a PM, if you need help or someone to point at what you need to remove/replace - I'm only in Fleet and can pop by on my way home from work, or sometime over the weekend. Alternatively, you can come over to Fleet :)Cheers - Simon
andy couchman
Worth replacing the scuttle rivets with rivnuts and stainless fasteners too. That makes the scuttle so much easier to remove if ever you need to in future too.Andy
Keith_T
My new scuttle had to have a big hole cut in the front face to suit a heater. What seemed quite a quick and simple job took ages (as Paul Formston would testify).
