old gimmer
I'm possibly changing 14" wheels et 23 to 13" et 15 , are there consequences if any to widening the track on a road car(SV) apart from moving the cycle wings over a bit. Thanks.

old gimmer
Thanks Peter, Sorry, can't pretend I really understand. Would I notice this much with road driving ? John.
6speedmanual
Yes, the 7 already has quite a high ground offset. Increasing it further will reduce steering sensitivity and "niceness" of feel. Introduces more weave/tug/pull on uneven/undulating roads and underbraking on surfaces with unequal friction under each front wheel (eg damp patches). I believe whatever small advantages may be gained from a wider track would be wiped out by the negatives of other issues introduced. Proper track widening activities involve longer suspension links. old gimmer
Thanks, I'll keep looking for 13" wheels with 23 et ( they were cheap though) Cheers John.
