Cubicpete Posted July 28, 2013 Share Posted July 28, 2013 Hi folks Bit of an embarrassing one this. Topped up the fluids at Poole on Friday evening as I'd discovered a slight leak. In my haste I either forgot to replace or cross threaded the expansion cap, which jettisoned itself en route! So I'm after an expansion cap for a 94 1400K series, the square tank type. Scott Dabinett Posted July 28, 2013 Share Posted July 28, 2013 From experience dont buy a cheap one off ebay! They fall apart and are rubbish! My ebay one failed after 1 session at combe so my dad poped to the local motor factors and they recomended one that had been changed and didn't have the brass bit in it, had another pressure release system! Cubicpete Posted July 30, 2013 Author Share Posted July 30, 2013 A bit of investigation into the initial leak revealed what looks like a split bottom hose. Ordered a new hose from Redline and added the cap onto the order. The order was placed yesterday lunchtime and arrived this morning, exceptional service!
