Brian Soper
Is this on your S2 ? I believe there are 9 and 10 teeth pinions , did you change your orginal starter? if so you may need to check your orginal starter pinion Brian
Paul Thompson
Hi Brian They both had 9 teeth as did the original. Problem I think may be the compression on the rebuilt engine. Keep missing meetings this year see you at Silverstone hopefully.
ncm
Hi Paul, Is the thin steel sandwich plate that fits between the engine block and bellhousing damaged ? I believe that it is this plate that is intended to keep the motor in the correct position. Cheers, Brian.
Paul Thompson
Hopefully sorted by using a Brise motor. Only time will tell.
