bottom wishbone ball joint

Pulling front suspension apart for first time and wondering if any play acceptable on these, got a slight vertical movement I.e. Along axis of upright? On assumption that there shouldn't be any how easy are they to replace?

Been a few posts on the subject in particular where to buy. I've got one to do this year and the posts range between remove nut from upright, remove circlip and slide out (all in situe) to having to remove wishbone and put in a vice. They can sometimes be installed with loctite.

 

Is it the whole spherical joint moving or just the ball? Former = loctite in, latter = I'd replace.

Thanks Ian, removed circlip but joint didn't want to budge, didn't want to apply too much force until had some feedback, will search the archives - it was late when got in from garage and not thinking straight.
