Flasher relay and hazard relay

These seem to be confusingly named from my reading of the circuit diagram.

The flasher relay is connected to unswitched 12V (as needed for the hazards), and turning on the hazards switch connects the flasher relay directly to both RH and LH indicators.

When the hazard switch is off, the flasher relay output is connected through the hazard relay, which is powered from switched 12V (so only works with ignition on), which then goes to the indicator switch, and on to the LH or RH indicator as required.

So the hazard relay is not used when the hazards are on. Is that correct?

Finally, the standard caterham circuit disconnects the hazard relay (and hence the indicator switch) completely when the hazards are on. My revised wiring (to work with the switch I have) will leave it in circuit - as illustrated here. Is there any problem with that? I'm not too worried if the hazards won't work properly if I've left an indicator on, but I'm not sure that should happen anyway.
