St Eve Posted September 6, 2011 Share Posted September 6, 2011 Not sure about "blasted past". I was following my mate in his 1927 Ford Model A and therefore making sedate progress. If I recall correctly, I was in second gear at about 20mph, avoiding the people crossing the road to the pub, and the oncoming traffic weaving in and out of the parked cars by the church wall. So, "proceeding with appropriate caution", I think, rather than "blasted". And that's the reason I missed the band. Sorry - but thanks for the acknowledgement.
