magister Posted August 31, 2011 Share Posted August 31, 2011 Daughter Bec is hoping to do the Championship in class 1 with me next year. We are looking at Ebay for race suits. One up at the moment which is FIA standard 1986, with other numbers: 05.218.csai.96. Any ideas what these numbers mean and if the suit is suitable - we don't want to end up with a karting suit!! Alternatively, has anyone got a suit (around 54 Sparco size) that they want to move on at a reasonable price?? Jetto Posted August 31, 2011 Share Posted August 31, 2011 You'll most likely want to get a suit with FIA 8856-2000 on it. The suit regulation lasts 25 years so a -1986 suit is no longer valid, a -2000 suit will be good till 2025.
