Throttle cable

Hi all,

As usual I am looking for a bit of help. I have just snapped the throttle cable on my k series (jenveys).

Is this a caterham parts only job or will another manufacturers cable do the trick.

I could do with one sooner than a post order from cc

If it is broken at the pedal end you can slacken off fully at the engine end and gain some slack to facilitate a temporary fix. I kept mine as a spare as the new ones are an arm and a leg.

I understand they are Rover parts, if it was for an SLR I could give you the part number.

Thanks madmalc. Its broken at the throttle end. It was the old cable for when it was ordinary injection and was modified for the throttle bodies.

I have bodged a wire hand operated throttle and made it home but it looks like tomorrows blat is off:-(

A regular bike inner cable will do the job.
