dan mackman
Following my noisey A-frame clonk correction, I have been told in the replies of my how to change the A-frame bushes thread that i may the 'new type' of oil breather on my diff. Question 1 bearing in mind i am the none-mechanic type, is changing the breather on my diff a job i could undertake myself? Question 2 Is it expensive? Question3 Are there any other options? TonyR
Its simply a push fit into the diff casing and I would imagine it to be about £2. TonyR Edited by - tonyr on 9 Sep 2002 13:03:

Giles Wardle
Dan, 1 no. Breather - Ital axle: part number 21H6060 price £2.28 + VAT (as per invoice of April 2000, when I had a new diff fitted. by Classic Carriage now Caterham Midlands). Caterham Midlands are based near Mallory Park, quite an nice blat if you go on back roads (or straight down A5 to Hinckley then along A47 to Leicester they are on the right just beyond Earl Shilton) They're bound to have one in stock and its a 1 minute job.
