Jam Mad
1995 1700 ss live-axle x flow 140bhp at the flywheel vw/ audi red with black cycle wings about 15k miles * fia rollbar 4 : 1 exhaust baffled james whiting alloy sump six point/ four point caterham luke harnesses spa mirrors leather adjustable seats with carpet cockpit lining adjustable armtech rev limiter + shift light fia rollbar full hi viz weather equipment heater + heated screen aluminium filler regularly serviced, has never let me down 5 minilite 6x13s with a021r's lockable wheel nuts spare set of 4 weller steel 6x13s tonneau and wheel changing kit * i need to check the exact mileage; it had to have a new speedo unit installed last year so i need to tot up the mileage from the old unit, which i have. the car has been used almost solely on the road, with only two trackdays. it has been garaged since new and is in excellent condition except for some light surface rust on the front wishbone and top suspension link, and some stone rash. both of these are normal for a car of this age. the cycle guard conversion was carried out by ratrace. i'm selling it because i'm emmigrating, otherwise i would be keeping it and slowly adding and improving. it's a great car that has started first time every time in my year and a bit of ownership, and i'm still in touch with the original owner who built it. pictures at www.7gallery.co.uk. i'm going to add a couple more photos shortly. here i come ! i'll be sad to see it go though...... Jam Mad
believe me, i did consider it. but upgradeitis has taken hold, and there is only so much upgrading one can do when so far away from the fabulous caterham support network. so a new era beckons.... Nigel Riches
DON"T SELL IT JAMES!!!!!!!!!!!, Bring it with you to the best 7 roads in the world, don't worry about upgradeitis, (which would really mean an aversion to upgrades), bring it down, so few in these parts, all the cross flow parts are here and the local "can do" Kiwi attitude will get just about anything fixed, or replaced, really do feel you'll regret it if you leave it in blighty. Regards Nigel.
Jam Mad
nigel, don't worry ! i am not giving up sevening... i plan to build a fraser as soon as we have sorted ourselves out. others, sorry for not having put price in, i'm looking for around £9k and i'm in streatham in south london. once again last week before heading off to an area meeting i couldn't believe how good the engine in my car is... it does not leak any oil ( i renewed the sump gaskets at christmas ), nor does it use much. both fairly rare attributes for a x flow. also, i forgot to mention that it has a vecta immobiliser, for which i have a spare key. cheers, j Edited by - jam mad on 27 Oct 2002 01:31:

Dave H
Jam, Even though you are no longer a Seven owner, and are soon to desert us for distant shores, I hope we will still see you for a coffee and Sossiges on the 3rd. I'll arrange some descrete tintop parking (you can help hide Blatmans Green Machine ) Dave H
