VOLVO C30 OBD2 or OBD II ???

[MADMALC]

I am looking at the ScanGauge which reqires the car to have an OBD2 or OBD II port, but I do not know if the socket I have is compatible. Any help would be appreciated.

Malc, most 'modern' cars use that form of socket but the comm's language has got better. I've got a generic USB to OBDII lead for VW cars but will only talk to HEX-BUS cars where latest and probably yours are a CAN-BUS where more data streamed simultaneously, I think?

 

Socket is a 16 pin (2x8) thing physically about the size of an old Scart lead on your telly.
