GTD
Our TT Roadster's headlights have a habit of pointing downwards instead of forwards. I've lost count of the times they've been adjusted, but there seems to be some self levelling type unit that is faulty. I took the car to a local VAG specialist, and even they have not been able to fix it - the car came back from its MoT with the lights fine - a week later and they are pointing down just in front of the front bumper! Any ideas - or know a really good place to take it in Sussex/Hants? -----Warning - no Caterham content here No Eco town here please
shn7
GTD, Sounds like it could be damaged threads on the adjusters. Went to adjust the lights on my X-Type recently and found that the plastic adjuster on one simply turned with no effect. A little more investigation showed it had parted company with the knurled steel rod it should be fixed to. Maybe yours is a less severe version of the same thing. Thread picks up when adjusted but go over a bump or two and it slips. Just my 2d worth of guesswork of course. And where were you wednesday then 😬 Steve.
