Rear Ventilated Disks - sizes/offsets ?

Does anyone have to hand the thickness and offset of the rear ventilated discs ? Alternatively can anyone confirm that front and rear disks are directly interchangeable ? (I have full size details on the front disks)

Roger, the rears are a vented front with about a mil machined off the centre where the flange locates. If all my stock wasn't packed away at the moment I'd measure one for you ☹️

So the rears have an offset that is about 1mm less than the front ? ("about" is close enough for my puposes). Is this the same for all models (ie Mk1, 2 etc) of uprated brakes ?

It's not quite that simple - there's a spacer between the disc and flange too (hence the machined bit to locate it), so the the disc is actually some 20mm (I'm guessing) further away from the flange.

 

If by mk1 you mean the solid uprated brakes, then yes, it's a standard solid front with the same machining and spacer.

 

I'm probably not explaining it very well, but I know exactly what I mean

A spacer, that starts to make some sense.

 

I am comparing clearances on my standard rear braked car with a car fitted with ventilated rears and using the disk face as a reference point I am getting very confusing conclusions.

Be aware that the hub is machined down as well to accommodate the vented rears, not sure it will affect your measurements though.
