o/t Timing light

I'm looking to buy a timing light to replace the very cheap Halfords-purchased LED light I got about 10 years ago. I'm willing to spend a bit of money on something I'll use for years, and would like one that has a digital display that shows dwell, rpm etc etc aswell - can anyone recommend something?

Failing that, is the Gunson Xenon light that Halfords sell for about £44 any good?

[Not for use on the 7! *smile*]

Thanks

Yep - snap-on would be very nice! - but if you say the Gunson one is good, thats probably good enough for what I need in reality, and saved me about £150 - ta!

Funnily enough I have just (this second!)downloaded you 'timing.zip' after Peter C pointed it to me just now whilst we discussed VW timing 😬 Looks like a very useful document - many thanks!

(PS - do you do a '68 VW Campervan engine upgrade kit?! *wink*)

I've had a gunsons xenon timing light for years and it's given me (and others) excellent service. *thumbup*

Xenon is much better than neon - the light is much brighter and easier to see.
