Steve Campbell
Having recently entered the world of 7 motoring I have what is probably a stupid question ... Whilst filling up at the local garage, "GTi man" came over admiring my gorgeous 1.6kSS and asked ... are those tyres legal (Yoko 032R's). "Of course" was my reply but in reality I had no idea if they were or 'why' they were. This obviously got me thinking ..... what makes a tyre legal ? Can someone help so I can sound like I know what I'm talking about next time "GTi man" asks me a dumb question ! Red SLR
I am sure someone else will come up with the exact details but basically it has to have a specific number of grooves in it. I think that is 1 grove running all the way around the tyre and then 30 (ish) accross it. I think that is it. But I am prob completly wrong.... Simon. gareth
I seem to remember from my ACB10 days on the road you need a E marked on the tyre. E DOT ( can't remember exactly)
