Rich, quite simply, the car is as described, that's why I bought it two years ago.

I have had two people say they want to buy it, and neither have the money until end of May.

If you are serious and have the cash, we can arrange to meet half way, say near Birmingham or Coventry.

Please give me a ring on.

It's a shame I no longer live in East Sussex and work in Kent, it would have been made more simple

Swiss Tony,

I am not sure if it would be described as an HPC, in the Caterham sales brochure of the 96 models, it was described as VXi, maybe Arnie will keep me right.

It's the 165 bhp model with standard Vauxhall fuel injection

As Tony I guess plans to take this back to Switzerland I think its probably pretty important to determine that it is a factory spec car/engine as this is probably key to import legistlation. A fax of the original invoice and a call to Caterham should confirm this.

I think the car is the same as an HPC but has the injection engine in order to remain emissions compliant (where carbs on an HPC could not) Caterham seemed to blow like the wind on the HPC/VXi naming on these models, and the HPC name may alos hyave been dropped whne the "High Performance Car" was no longer associated with John Lyons "High Performance Course"

It is marginly less urgent at the top end than a carburetted HPC, but this is all down to the induction system - it'll still go pretty quick, and you can fit throttle bodies to this derivative pretty easily as Mr Aves will vouch.....

My only concern is that it doesn't have cycle wings - so mind Chris Clark doesn't beat you to it Tony....

Actually my connections with Switzerland are tenuous - otherwise I'd be going for the Swiss import with the turbo.

Mr Aves tells me that he knows more than me about making love to beautiful women so I'd take everything he says with a pinch of salt!

Thanks for your help Arnie, I was not aware of all the mail about the other Vauxhall car that you commented on. All I can say is that I have all of the original Caterham sales invoices from the guy who built the car when new.

Reluctantly, I am selling the car because I am facing redundancy and my oldest daughter is going to University in October and I need the cash or a new job ( I would prefer to keep the car)

Thanks

Well, I am Redundant now and may be moving to Hong Kong for a new job, so reluctantly I will consider sensible offers.

Where are you?, maybe you could call me on mobile 07714 663000

Yes, thank God it has gone to someone who made me a sensible offer.

I have had so many time wasters, sarchasm from more time wasters, so called 'committed' buyers, none of whom had any money, or wanted the car for nothing. Those who were not able to venture North of Watford, well, contrary to popular belief the World is not flat, and you won't fall of the edge at Watford gap services.
