pjh
Greetings from sunny Nottingham . I want to protect my Exige during the winter - it isn't garaged, but is parked in a secure off-road area. Something like the Carcoon seems ideal, but I don't have access to external power - and as the place is rented, fitting an external socket isn't an option. Anyone run one from a large battery ? Anyother suggestions ? Thanks, Peter
Asker of daft questions
"Anyother suggestions" Buy a Caterham or ask on a Lotus board ? 😬 GB It wasn't me, it was him, he did it, I saw him with my own two eyes
pjh
GB, Oh how I laughed - I do own a Caterham, a very much modified x/flow! I thought that the good and wise of blatchat (who have helped me out many times before) might have some suggestions. Perhaps not, I'll just move over to exiges.com 😳. Cheers, Peter
RichardUSA
I store my motorcycle over the winter in my garage (unheated) with it in a giant heavy duty "baggy" and a couple pounds of desicant. Many manufacturers sell the same system for cars. The desicant can be dried and re-used. I've used same for 15 years. Has worked well for me and should serve your needs unless you intend/need to use the car over winter. It's too much trouble if you are going to need to drive more than a couple times. Does this smell ok?
CageyH
My suggestion would be two large batteries... One on charge, and one running the carcoon. Only dead fish go with the flow....
