prangerman
Having just recently bought my first Caterham, and joined the Club, I went along to the Brands Hatch trackday yesterday, not to take my car on the track - I'm still gaining experience, and in any case it would require a mod or two before being suitable - but rather to meet other members of the Club. (I would not want to be the cause of yet another red flag!) Thanks go to Peter, Paul, (no Mary?!) and Robin for making me feel welcome. Massive thanks too to Mav for taking me out as a passenger (and his better half for the loan of the helmet for the smaller headed driver! ). A very brisk and tidy drive indeed by Mav. 😬 😬 😬 To think that my Supersport is essentially the same as Mav's and could theoretically, with a few tweaks, corner at those stupendously exhilarating speeds makes me think that that green and yellow indulgence in my garage has hidden depths I am a long way yet from discovering!! A further donation to NtL will be on its way shortly. Such an experience is worth £20 of anyone's money. I also took the opportunity while in the area to visit 7 Indulgence for a chat about the services they offer. My first impressions were very positive - despite the long and winding and ever narrowing track to their premises - and I am sure others have feedback of the service they have received there. mav
Peter, You were most welcome to the passenger ride. Shame you could not hang about for the afternoon. Things were a bit quicker after lunch 😬
prangerman
Thanks - Mav. I had to leave early to get home to pick up the family MPV to get to Gatwick to pick up the parents in law whose flight was of course... ...delayed! Jumping from the Caterham into the high riding turbo diesel gives one the extremes of driving experiences!

prangerman
Mrs Mav Thanks for asking, but due date is 17 days away ... It seems very little time ago indeed when it was still months away! If Number 2 is even 0.0000007 as good as Number 1 has been, we will be very lucky. If he's the opposite end of his big sister then we are in big trouble. *biggrin* In Memoriam DMG
