Reversing light switch

I've traced a non-functioning reversing light to the fact that the connector to the gearbox switch has come adrift. Peering through the small gap in the tranny tunnel I can't see a lot. Can someone please give me a clue as to where the connector plugs in. '92 HPC/BGH Rocket gearbox (but believe this is still the standard 5sp 'box casing).

Its on the offside near drivers left knee. To access it either remove the tunnel top 9if you havce a padded tunnel top) or remove the ally panel around the gear knob (secured by 4 screws, two on each side of the front of the tunnel)

The connector is a very simple snap in connection like a PP3 battery, and they do work loose. You may need to squeeze the gearbox switch half very very slightly, in order to get the connector to remain in place.
