willitgo Posted June 7, 2006 Share Posted June 7, 2006 I have to confess to having done a rather silly thing - topped up the coolant in the expansion bottle and forgot to put the top back which of course has gone AWOL. Since I life in Switzerland - no Halfords or anything remotely like it - any suggestions as to what to do as a temporary measure? Can I just tape up the hole? If it's something 'modern' like a k-series, the cooling system relies on being pressurised - so running without the proper cap will not be a good idea... Project Scope-Creep is live...
