We've just sorted out a Members' Benefit for membership of Club Motul, who are Caterham's oil sponsors.  I've yet to post the details in the MemBen section, but have just been given notice of this offer.

Motul are also offering an oil sample analysis of your oil.  You need to book your analysis slot BY THIS FRIDAY, 12th AUGUST

To book your free analysis, please visit this site.

If there are any problems, please do let me know quickly and I'll do my best to sort them out in time, as I haven't had the opportunity to test the process.

I confess, Nigel, in the rush to notify members I haven't checked.

I'll ask my contact and post a reply here.  I suspect I shalln't now get an answer until tomorrow.

Nigel,

In answer to your question:-

"Do I have to physically take it to Motul at the event, or can I post it back?"

here's the response I got back from my contact:-

"Either, it can be posted back to us - benefit here is it gets in the queue to be analysed earlier.  Alternatively it can be dropped at the oil lab on Copse runway."

Hope that covers it for you.

I also asked if there might be other events at which this service might be available and was told:-

"The oil lab and the technicians travel across from Motul in France, and we generally only bring it over for the larger events. That said we are hopeful to have a UK based service up and running in the future.
It may also be at the Goodwood Revival, but not 100% confirmed yet.

Just had my sample kit through, randomly got two though

EDIT: Is one supposed to be a clean / new oil sample for comparison?  Not very clear as the packs are identical with long tube for the dipstick and an indentical submission form (with a different reference number).
