Display parking for Caterham and Seven Club Members close to the café and the main event of the day, the British Rotor Craft Association Guinness Book of Records attempt to break their 2022 Guinness Book of Records for the most gyrocopter take off and landings in one day.

There will also be a technical briefing on the Bofors gun designed in the 1930’s by the Swedish arms manufacturer AB Bofors

The event is in memory of long term club member Joe Bullen who died unexpectedly in November last year. Many of us remember Joe as always having a smile on his face. He and his Dad Peter built two Sevens, the second of which Peter still owns but may be selling later this year. The route is the same as the one led by Peter and Joe to the Shuttleworth Air Show and Museum a couple of years ago.

Peter will lead the group and hopefully Joe’s partner Amanda will join us.  
The record attempt finishes at 5.00 though you can leave at any time. The A1is usually the fastest route back to London..
Route Notes and Risk Assessment
This is a popular cycling route (regularly used by Peter’s cycling club at the week end) so we will need to be ultra-vigilant of any cycle groups. There is the usual mix of speed restrictions to be careful about.
