London West Goes West- A Long Way WestOn Friday 24th a special guided tour of Mr Marconi’s first high powered radio station at the Lizard then (contain your excitement) on Saturday 25 an even more special guided tour of Mr Marconi’s second (even more powerful) transatlantic high power radio station at Poldhu (Mullion Cove) with a grand finale at 3.00 PM, an attempt to send the Morse code letter S (three dots, no dashes) to Signal Hill in Newfoundland using a 5 watt Continuous Wave (CW) transmitter.
The tours are free but with limited space (tours start at 11.00 and 2.00 on the Friday, 11.00 and 12.00 on the Saturday)

A few of us are staying at the Premier Inn in Helston. We have organised dinner at the May Tree (which is conveniently next door) to meet some of our Cornish Caterham Club friends on the Saturday evening, drinks at 6.00, dinner at 7.00 Special thanks to John and Lyn Roskruge, the local AR team, for helping with this.
