Gogs' May 3 meeting: Plas Maenan Country House, Conwy Valley, Nr. Llanrwst, LL26 0YR

OK boys and girls, we're going up-market for the May 3 meeting, to the imposing Edwardian Plas Maenan country house, set on a hilltop above the A470. Meet at 8-ish - or earlier if the sun is shining - for what could be a smashing photo opportunity if Dave AC can pull off the parking. Those familiar with the roads around Llanwrst will have their own blatting routes, but for ease: Take the A55 to the Llandudno Junction exit and follow the A470 towards Betws-y-Coed for approximately 6 miles, until

April 5 meeting reminder

Just a brief reminder that the April 5 meeting is at the Ship Inn, Red Wharf Bay, Anglesey. Good food and real ale. I realise it's a bit a trek for some members, but I hope you will make the effort. It's worth it when you get there and I can't wait to drive my car again after the winter lay-up. Just pray for dry weather! See you there about 8ish.

April meeting - Red Whaf Bay

Ah April. Cars come off SORN, MoT's done, insurance rearranged, taxed and ready to go. Sooo, here's an early heads-up to let everyone know the April 5 meeting is, by popular request, at the Ship Inn, Red Wharf Bay, Anglesey. I'll send a reminder nearer the time, but as it's a bit of a trek for some, please prepare. And for those nearer to, or on the island itself, there can be no excuse! In the meantime, get polishing.

GOGS March meeting is at the Clwyd Gate

March will be upon us soon and the first Tuesday is ... well the first day, so someone needs to make a decision about the venue for the meet. So, I've decided. It will be the Clywd Gate on the Mold Road, outside Ruthin, LL15 1YF. I understand the place has just changed ownership, so it will be good to be supportive. Whilst it is primarily a restaurant, it has a smart bar and does bar snacks. I hope to see as many members - new and old - as possible, particularly those who choose to un-SORN their

GOGS (North Wales area) June 2 meeting details

Dear all We've done our bit for our friends in the Ruthin end of our patch, now it's the turn of our comrades in the Anglesey direction to have an easier journey to the monthly meet. So, it's at The Mulberry overlooking the beautiful Conwy Marina. Dave A-C and I will arrive as soon after 8pm as is humanly possible, so please don't give up on us and think we're not attending.
