Quoting IanL:Saw 2 7's on my way to Burghley (in my Purple Purple
Cerbera) but missed the one there.
Waved / flashed to both but got no response back.
Good turn out of 642 TVR's!
Ian, that must be bigger than the Chatsworth turnout ! Much better venue at Burghley IMHO !
-
Amongst a sea of Tvr's at the big Burghley meet was a lone 7 , met the owner who had just bought it from Perth , superlight R in metallic grey .

Quoting 6speedmanual:Go Aero!
Far less turbulent in the cockpit.
Peter
Harness still flaps though ! At least with brooklands anyway !
-
I was very lucky to see one going the other way as I was going to Leicester yesterday 5.30 ish , a red one , made my day , haven't seen one for ages , I was in my z4mc not the 7 unfortunately ! One of my favourite classics the Esprit .
-
My battery is still underneath the induction stuff , used to be webbers , now tb's, doesn't seem to be a problem where it is easy enough to get at with a screwdriver to open the cells for charging although its rarely necessary !
-
Driving through Theddingworth sat morning , one of the oldest 7's I've seen on the road !
-
Interesting thread , I need to put my wiper heads back through the holes in the scuttle so I've only got the wipers themselves to put back on for a fast change over , have not put windscreen on for a long while ! 😬
-
HPC has been confined to the shed for a bit so start her up every week . Yesterdays start up produced a wonderful crack/pop , I wish my z4mc would do that but then its a ' normal ' car ! 😬
-
Get one that bolts to the scuttle instead , I've just renewed mine for a convex one , caterham supplied its got a wide view and doesn't fall over !
-
My 1991 vx does have these bearings but they've been changed recently as she's had wide track so I'm ok , thanks .
-
Go on a diet ?
-
Is it possible to post a pic of what the bearing fits into ie pic of suspension close up ? Will have a look at mine to see if I can make sense of it !
-
I better have two as well , doubt if they've ever been changed in 22 years !
-
Quoting John Vine:Well, I'm not laughing as I have front mudflaps on mine. When you live in the sticks, surrounded by horses, it's a better option than getting covered in horse ordure every time you venture out.
JV
Too true . I live in the sticks and its impossible to drive more than half a mile without stuff stuck to the wheel arches ! ☹️

Removing the windscreen ! 😬 Completely alters the caterham experience ! 😬

Or , price up a 2 l duratec engine swop ?
-
Er , not much really , let me think , er , a small plastic tub with a few bits and bobs , oh yes a spare alternator belt , spare oil pump belt , a few hose clips , that's about it , have never had a problem with my 7 and have been driving her for 7 years at least. 😬

Yes I know it should be thin and light, but IMO they are to flexible. When you push a rocker swithc the whole dash flexes in. Carbon should be stiff and light, the Caterham part seems to have forgotten the stiff bit.
Combine, pics of the dash's are on the respective web sites. Just waiting some info back from Ultimate carbon.
Cheers
Guy
Thanks for that will have a look !
-
Have been thinking on similar lines about changing my old dash for something more up to date ( modern ? ) , are there any pics of these dashes ?
