After reading this I couldn't remember ever seeing an earth from engine to chassis and  on inspection there wasn't one! Now fitted and car starts much easier.

It says a  40Ω resistor but I can only find much lower numbers?

read through that post but can't seem to find a resistor the right value anywhere.

3 wires on the alternator.

Yes, I've done some reading and it seems I need a resistor in parallel. 
I tried wiring the original bulb in parallel to see if it would work, the LED now goes out but flickers on and off at tick over. The original bulb doesn't do this. Will a resistor cure this?

Indicators now working.

new problem, now ignition light stays on and won’t go out... guess I need some other electric gizmo?

Thanks very much, I’ve learnt a lot, I didn’t even know what a diode was until tonight.

Sorry for my ignorance but what would happen if I joined the two wires together and earthed the bulb? 
 

No buzzer so I need a diode thingy Y connector.  I've tried googling but not sure what I'm searching for

ill check that link and see if I can make heads or tails of it.

i hoped I could just buy something and plug it in 

Putting in some shiney led warning lamps and can't figure out how to wire the indicator one. Power comes in from either side depending on what way you are turning. Result is it only flashes for one way as the led cant work backwards like a normal bulb.

any ideas?

Pressurised system on my Xflow 

Redline used to stock the steel ones. Might be worth a call.

Put it by a radiator to warm up and then use the Autoglym resin polish. I put on with small circular strokes, waited for it to dry and then polished off with a clean cloth.

ive one side screen that’s gone foggy. I usually use renovo but this didn’t work so bought some McGuire’s plastic clean stuff but this didn’t work either.

any ideas?

I’ve got an Ally one in my crossflow, fits no problem?
