  1. Hi All, thank you for your feedback. Definitely not the fuel tank moving or broken linkage on the ant roll bar but the A frame mounting to the De-dion tube could be suspect. Looking at it, the previous owner who built the car, has fitted black, cut round, plastic shim in the positions where the nylon shim washers should be. Presumably he had trouble getting the supplied washers in and instead decided to make his own. One of the shim pieces can be moved by my finger and so is not therefore under compression but not sure if it should be as the joint has to be able to pivot slightly. Presumably the correct washers should be fitted and if so would these be the nylon racing washer shim with I/d 17.5 mm fro Caterham parts? Thanks Terry

  2. Hi, I have recently purchased a 2019 360S, 8k miles, which has standard suspension at the rear, i.e. no Watts Linkage. I am experiencing a knocking noise coming from somewhere at the rear of my car when driving over bumpy roads. I have checked under the rear to look for witness marks and cannot see anywhere that could be causing the noise. I have secured the brake cables as best I can and secured the wooden boot floor, which I thought could be jumping up when hitting bumps, but I am still getting a knock on the most severe bumps or dips in the road. I have had a few Caterhams' over the years and the suspension on this model does seem a lot softer than I am used to. Has anyone experienced similar issues? Thanks

  3. I know this might be quite a subjective subject, but from the point of view of a Caterham Seven owner that may never do a track day what would a good general purpose tyre be for Englsh weather?

I have a 1800 K series SV giving 170 bhp tops. My car currently has 7/8 year old Avon CR500's and so I am looking to replace all four tyres. I understand Avon are closing down tyre manufacture in UK and therefore the ZZS could become hard to get. From what I have read Toyo R888r are great in the dry but terrible in the wet.

Any advice please! Thanks Terry (tezkav)

P.S. I should have said my current CR500's are 195/45 R15 but I'll probably have to go to 195/50 R15.

  4. I have a pair of front cycle wings taken off my Caterham Seven for sale. These are extended length version,225mm wide x 950mm long, i.e. 160mm longer than the standard Caterham wing. I believe these wings were an option on the early HPC cars. They have the cut outs for the side repeater indicators. In good condition although showing a slight witness of where the side repeaters have been located.

Best offer over £200 for the pair.

Collect from Sheringham, North Norfolk or if post required then I would need to establish how much this would cost. Quite large and fragile to post.
