If Bedford stuck to their published noise level then possibly ok but they have been known to lower it on the day (ask Impreza club as it's a long story) so personally I would not take my own car and give them my money if this can happen.

Shame really because it's one track i would love to go back with the R300 to see how far i could push it, due to all the lovely run off's.

  4. Well I was hoping for at least half the Caterham price as they are in good condition, so was looking for £60ish you collect.

I am based in North London so maybe a bit far for you JAG.

  5. I wish now that I did not get my R300 as I have been in a 260bhp and was gobsmacked. Now I feel the need to get a Vauxhall lump but will have to wait for a while. Saw you last Sunday around a certain high st smoking the tires coming towards me (in yellow aero screen R300) then again after i turned around, car looked very nice. At that price I am surprised you still have it.

  6. Octagon were asking for Type A helmets no mention that it must be FR rated but a fire resistant balaclava(spelt wrong?) under it would, I guess get around the problem if this is the case.

I was doing some octagon circuits before the rule and bought a SA2000 (higher rated lid) Arai so was a bit put out. I have not done one since but others that have, were not checked so still not clear to their position.

Best thing I would advise is to get in touch with Octagon and get the question answered in writing as I would hate to give you any wrong info and cost you money as it did me.

  8. Well I do remember seeing this crop up in earlier post about R300 and the R400 (had heard that R400 ecu's were looked at by Caterham). I have a R300 plus a friend of mine does and they both do it, did ring Caterham but was told of no know issue with the map, GREAT!. As you can guess not too happy with Caterham's view, I wish they would just say we will look at the map to check it out. Would be nice to know just how many are getting this problem (if it is one). Perhaps everyone with R300 would like to tell us how they are getting on.

PS both cars have decat as recommended by Caterham so I would hope that they test the affect on the map with this in place. May put cat back to run a test.
