    FOC, postage at cost

    will test it....can send pics

  2. I've fitted new  to the rear of my 87 X/Flow. There's cracking to the gell coat on the offside wing ( neighbour backed into it ! ), but the fibreglass under seems sound......

Colour has slightly darkened over the 31 years.

Can include new nearside stainless protector...

Any takers for the old ones ? Collection N.London only...sorry !

  3. Hi All,

Any suggestions for replacement tyres for 14" KN Jupiter wheels ? Presently fitted with 'life expired' 185/60R/14 82H tyres for a 1987 cross-flow SS. For road use only, usually in the dry, but this is the UK !

    Uniroyal rain experts 3, or.....?

    TIA Steve

  4. I'm thinking of changing all the rear bulbs ( turn, brake, fog, reverse etc ) and the front turn, side bulbs with LED replacements - has anyone done this ? I see there are companies that offer complete LED light assemblies, ( which look excellent ) but wanting to keep the cost down !

Also, do I need to ensure using the correct LED 'temperature'/ colour if using behind the exiting red/orange lenses ? eg I read that using white LEDs behind red lenses is not that great ?

  5. Thanks Guys.

I've ordered some gel coat restoring stuff from a boat chandlers.

The wings are off the car, so it's worth a try. If not, then I'll investigate buying replacements from CC, or elsewhere ( if colour  matches rest of car ). Or respray.

  6. Has anyone had success at restoring gel coats ? I'm hoping to restore my rear fibre-glass wings ( 1987 Supersprint ) - the red finish is now getting to look chalky / dull / lifeless after all these years !

Tried various polishes, scratch removers, but not that effective.

    Cheers

    Stephen
