  1. Hi Dom,  I'm sorry I have 'mislaid' your contact details, so having found the Race m/c, I can't send you pictures, but hopefully they have come out on here?  Get back to me if you are interested.

    Paul.

  2. Yes, I've got one too, same as JP, although little used, it is. quite old and it would be a good idea to put in new seals etc for safety, but save yourself a lot of money.  Get back to me if interested and I'll have a hunt for it.

  3. In clearing out my garage prior to moving,  I have come across a completely unused catalyst for a 21 using a Rover 1.6 or 1.8 K series engine.  I changed the engine to a Vauxhall and never used this Cat.

I guess £150 would be about right, but all offers considered.

  4. Hi Billy, yes I believe I do have an SV tonneau cover, but I don't think it has headrest pockets, but I will get it out and check for you.  If you are interested, I don't have a clue as to what it is worth, but does half of CC price (incl.VAT) sound fair?

    Paul.

  5. I have a type 9, five speed gearbox available, surplus to requirements.

This box was brand new from Burtons and bolted to the back of a 2 litre Zetec for 2000 miles, since replaced with a Duratec and BHG gearbox, now sold.

This box is not the standard 'Caterham' box from a 3l. Capri, but a standard Sierra box but will and does work on the back of any of our engines.

It would also form the basis of a great modified box or a donor for BHG.

It has been fitted with a hydraulic clutch assembly and is ready to go.

I want £695 to clear, as I am moving and it needs to go.

I also have a couple of iron bellhousings available for free if anyone wants one (or two)?

  6. As we know, earlier Sevens used the Ford Type 9 gearbox, not from a Sierra but from the 2.8 & 3 litre Capri, because, I believe, it had slightly better ratios and bigger bearings, but can anyone tell me if there are any identifying features on the outside of the box to quickly tell which is which?  Was the input shaft slightly longer, necessitating the use of the ali. spacer or am I wrong on this?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Paul.

  7. An AP big brake kit which was never fitted and still boxed.  It comprises of a pair of larger vented rotors, alloy AP twin pot calipers and a set of AP pads.  They were purchased from CC but the car was sold before they could be fitted.  These are now £1,125 from CC.

    Price £975.

Also a used AP Race master cylinder.  For those that do not know, these transform both standard and uprated brakes, being rock solid and with next to no travel.  They also help to heel and toe, giving a solid pivot point for the foot.  These appear to be out of stock at CC and cost £405 new.

    Price  £300

Please BM me for more info and pictures, preferably with your email address.

  8. This completely unstarted and boxed kit is of the Caterham Seven BDR, with flared wings and is now around 15 - 20 years old.

These kits are mainly metal and are of fantastic quality.

I am now never going to start it so would like to offer it to someone who will appreciate it.

I am open to offers close to £345 plus P&P.

    BM for pictures.

  9. A set of custom made, leather,  double piece seat pads, with extra lumbar support, making them exceedingly comfortable.  I once did a 4 hour run non-stop with no aches or pains.  They are truly fabulous.

I am asking £300 for the pair of pads.

    BM me for pictures etc.

    Paul.

  10. Garage clearance means that this rather rare 3.38 Ford Diff. unit has to go.  I bought it used some years ago and did not get around to installing it, so now surplus to requirements.

It is good as far as I know, but I have never used it so cannot categorically warrant it.  In my experience diffs. do not wear very much and in fact get quieter with age.

It does not have a LSD unit installed, so might be a good base for one.

Ideal for those who want more relaxing cruising, especially with the frantic 6 speed box.

Offers close to £525.00 please.  Collection preferred, but could meet at the Taunton Deane Services on the M5, as it is close to me.

  11. Yes sorry guys, I started the advert and then realised I did not have enough info. to hand and thought I had deleted the advert.

Durance?  Bl**dy autofill stuff, of course it should be Duratec.

So, I do have a super 2.3 Duratec for sale, although not  a Cosworth, like the CSR,  but it is to a very close spec. and should produce around 260 bhp.  It is a newly built up motor using all new parts, including the block, Cosworth roller barrel throttle bodies  etc etc.  It comes complete with an Omex ECU mapped for a Cosworth 2.3 CSR motor.

The sale is due to an impending house move and I have to clear the decks, as there just is not the room in the new house's garage.   If anyone is interested I will look up the full spec. list and send photos etc.

Pricewise, I am looking for around £9,950, which I know is steep, especially for something that is not even in a car and running, but I have no doubt this will be a cracking motor once in a car.
